With its mission to endorse and support candidates who embody these principles, the first round of endorsements is slated to be announced at the end of February 2024.
Launched in December 2023, the Governing Group PAC aims to create a new paradigm of political engagement that prioritizes thoughtful policy over divisive rhetoric and civility over conflict.
In its commitment to redefine Utah politics by promoting civility, respect, and solution-oriented leadership, the Governing Group PAC, under the stewardship of former Utah State Representative Becky Edwards and a distinguished leadership team, today proudly announces its first round of candidate endorsements for the upcoming elections. The 12 endorsed candidates collectively represent 12 counties across the state.
Endorsed Candidates:
The Governing Group PAC's endorsements follow a rigorous selection process led by Senior Advisor Gary R. Herbert, former governor of Utah, and board members Dr. Susan R. Madsen, Mia Love, Lowry Snow, and Tami Pyfer. "Our endorsements reflect not just the qualifications of these candidates but also their alignment with our mission to foster a political climate characterized by thoughtful dialogue and effective, non-partisan solutions," said Becky Edwards, founder of the Governing Group PAC. "We are confident that these leaders will contribute significantly to creating the respectful and constructive political discourse that Utah deserves.”
The Governing Group PAC endorsement aims to provide these candidates with not only financial support but also strategic guidance and mentorship, leveraging the extensive experience of its board and senior advisor. Additionally, a dedicated team of Governing Group PAC volunteers will provide supplementary support to candidates, enhancing our comprehensive strategy for candidate assistance. This structure underscores the PAC's commitment to nurturing Republican and non-partisan leaders capable of bridging divides and enacting policies that reflect the best interests of all Utahns.
